It was with great excitement that I assumed the position of Pastor of the Busby Church of God. Coming back to Lawrence County and having my family with me to assist in the ministry within the church, is very special. Just to be able to build on the foundation so capably laid by previous Pastor Steve Gerhart and his father Reverend Gene Gerhart is truly an honor. It is my sincere prayer that as we work together we will see great things accomplished for God's Kingdom.

     My philosophy of ministry is that, "God dwells in the midst of the four walls.

namely:

First Wall -          "Worship"

Second Wall -     "Education"

Third Wall -          "Fellowship"

Fourth Wall-         "Evangelism"

     In the midst of the four walls, is the place were we seek God's power and guidance. This place is the "Alter." No church can effectively operate on the horizontal alone. The Church must have a vertical relationship of communion (prayer) with God to experience His presence and be successful in fulfilling our mission.
